Canadian Open Roundup

Here are last night’s results from Draw 1 of the Canadian Open in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

The Swedish rink, Team Niklas Edin, came into Canada riding high from their gold medal performance in the Le Gruyere European Championships, but were unable to continue their winning ways, losing to Yorkton hero Steve Laycock and his rink 9-4. Team Binia Feltscher of Switzerland, who took gold on the women’s side of the recent European Championships, lost 6-5 to Team Kristy McDonald.
