When you think about University of Nebraska athletics, football comes to mind. Big Red has won five national titles on the gridiron (1970, 1971, 1994, 1995, and 1997) and boasts three Heisman Trophy winners – Johnny Rodgers (1972), Mike Rozier (1983), and Eric Crouch (2001).
But you should also know there’s quite a bit going on with the Huskers Curling Club. A few days ago, we linked to news about the Tennebraska Cup, the first rivalry trophy in American college curling history. It will be contested between Nebraska and the University of Tennessee on February 7th in Omaha.
Now, the Husker curlers have released a Lineup and Hype video. Check it out here.
It’s clear that while they take their curling seriously on the Lincoln campus, they are having a good time as well. For those interested in following the University of Nebraska Huskers Curling Club, you can follow them on Twitter @UNLCurling or like them on Facebook here.
